Upper Primary and Secondary Team
With over 30 years of experience in Hong Kong’s financial industry and a background in international school teaching, specializes in Economics, English Literature, and Humanities.
Mr. Andrew is skilled at integrating real-world experience with academic theory, providing students with an inspiring learning experience.
Mr. Peter is a UK national, born in Hong Kong, grew up in Tokyo and educated in the UK. Peter graduated from the University of Kent with a first class honours degree in International Business. Peter joined Miles Academy as a Humanities teacher, specializing in English, Psychology, History and Social Studies.
Lower and Middle Primary Team
Ms. Maggie brings over 10 years of teaching experience to Miles Academy. She is fluent in Mandarin, English, Cantonese and Taiwanese making lessons accessible and engaging for students with diverse linguistic backgrounds. Ms Maggie specialises in younger students covering Chinese, English, Math, and Social Science.
Ms. Anisa is a UK national with broad intercultural experience having grown up in Tokyo and UK. Ms Anisa graduated from University of Sussex with a first class honours degree in History of Art. She focuses in younger students with a focus on Art and the Humanities, including English and Social Studies.
Maths and Science Team
Mr. Teguh Gumilar teaches IGCSE and AS/A Level Physics & Mathematics and has six years of experience working at an IB (International Baccalaureate) school. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics Education and a Master of Science in Digital Learning and Education from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). He is passionate about teaching science using digital tools, STEM, and Arduino-IoT.
Kai graduated from the University of Bath in the UK with a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, earning 2nd Class Honours degree.
He specializes in Mathematics and Science, particularly Physics and Chemistry.Fluent in both Mandarin and English, Kai is able to explain complex concepts in a clear, intuitive, and engaging manner, making learning more effective and enjoyable for his students.
Administration Department
Hanny is proficient in Mandarin, English, and Indonesian. She specializes in administrative work, demonstrating strong multilingual communication and organizational skills.
